The Tiger rockfish is a cultural staple among naturalists and visitors of the Pacific Northwest. Living for well over 100 years, this fish is iconic in both its appearance and biology. Not unlike the Tigers we find on dry land, these fish are fiercely territorial and have proven to be vicious hunters.

This patch is inspired by a photo of a Tiger rockfish I had taken off of Madrona Point in Nanoose, B.C.
